Greetings! I’m Iris, a recent MPH grad specializing in applied epidemiology. Welcome to my personal portfolio website.
After the permanent closure and liquidation of my former company, a cross-country move, and quite a few major life changes, I am looking to transition into a career in health research. To view publications and projects on which I was a contributor and co-author, please see the “publications” page on the above menu, or click here. I’m quite proud of the work my team produced, and my experiences working directly with research participants in COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy exploratory studies has armed me with an array of skills that would make me a useful addition to any multidisciplinary research team that values adaptability, attention to detail, and strong analytic and critical thinking skills.
I am a supremely skilled research writer with a background in journalism and copy-editing, and pride myself on creating high quality work that is impactful and easy to understand. I am a meticulous and curious person by nature who thrives on being involved at every level of a project.
In my leisure time, I love to spend time outside in my garden or explore the beaches and natural areas around my city. I have a profound interest in indigenous plant life and ecology, and I firmly believe that living in balance with our natural and built environments is essential to well-being. I am also a keen reader, and make it a point to stay updated with the latest research in public health and medicine. Currently, I am particularly interested in control protocols for Chronic Wasting Disease in cervids (on which I authored a policy recommendation report), the effectiveness of health policy interventions for Avian Influenza in U.S. cattle populations, and biotechnological treatments for neurodegenerative diseases.
I am eager to start my professional journey and make a positive impact on the health of my community. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in discussing potential research collaborations, job opportunities, or simply wish to chat about public health!
